Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 182 Recap
In Chapter 182 Charles assumes a fighting stance and braces himself for the showdown with Hakari. He pulls out a large pen with a nib as his weapon. “It was my dream to be an astronaut, but it appears like it wasn’t meant to be,” he quotes.
Charles tries to assault Hakari with the pen, but he manages to get away from it. When Hakari inquires as to the significance of those particular lines, he is informed that they are part of a poem by Hoshino Katsura. Hakari claims that all manga artists create their own stories in their heads. Charles, on the other hand, claims that he was inspired to write fiction right away.
He confesses to Hakari that he has completely lost his imagination and wonders if the latter is experiencing the same thing. In Charles’ opinion, it’s a mangaka’s desperation. To which Hakari responds, “Have you ever heard of someone using a pen to injure someone?”
Hakari is pierced with a manga page by Charles. That something is stirring inside him, even though he isn’t aware of it yet. Charles explains to Hakari that he is able to glimpse into the future because of his technique.
For now, he can see one second into the future, but as the war progresses, that number will grow. Charles blocks Hakari’s attempt to show off his strength by delivering a quick punch. In order to get past this, Hakari attacks Charles in his blind places.
A few effective attacks are made but soon Hakari recognizes that the effect is becoming more detrimental and is ready to unleash his domain expansion technique Restless Gambler. Charles’s mind is filled with the workings of Hakari’s technique.

Yuji Itadori, a high school student who lives in Sendai with his grandfather, is unusually fit. Despite his natural competitiveness, he avoids the track crew on a regular basis due to the time commitment. Rather, because he has the opportunity, he decides to join the Occult Study Club, paying daily visits to his deceased grandfather in his hospital.
On his deathbed, Yuji’s grandfather instills two powerful messages in him: “always help people” and “die surrounded by people.” These two thoughts appear to be the result of his grandfather’s regrets. Yuji interprets these messages after his grandfather’s death as a single declaration: “a proper death” is worth everyone.
A sorcerer named Megumi Fushiguro approaches him and informs him that he has recently made contact with a high-grade cursed charm talisman. Curses were unlocked by his Occult Club friends’ rotting finger, beings formed by negative emotions and enhanced by absorbing mystical forces present in sorciers or other charms.
To protect Megumi and his friends from the Curses, Yuji swallows his fingers and becomes the host of Ryomen Sukuna, a heavy curse. He is powerless to defeat them. Because of Sukuna’s evil nature, all sorcerers must exorcise him immediately (and, as a result, Yuji). Yuji’s body has been returned to him, but he remains possessed.
After seeing this, Megumi’s teacher, Satoru Gojo, wanted to take him to Tokyo’s Jujutsu High School to propose a plan to his superiors. It was simply a matter of delaying Yuji’s execution so that he could eat all of Sukuna’s fingers and eventually destroy Sukuna.
