About Kingdom
Kingdom is a manga series by Yasuhisa Hara from the Japanese. The manga provides a fictionalized account of the period of warring States mainly from experiences of the war orphan Xin and his comrades in the struggle to become the greatest general among Heaven. The manga has been shown since January 2006 and collected in 61 Tankõbon volumes in April 2021, in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump manga magazine.
China’s Warring States, a raging dragon that would roam the earth for 500 years, saw the rise and fall of many kingdoms and the kingdom of supremacy of the new generation. Ultimately, the endless war cycle produced seven powerful states.
Li Xin, a war orphaned slave, trains vigorously in Qin’s kingdom with his fellow slave and best friend Piao, who shares his proud dream of becoming one day a Grand General from Heaven. However, when Piao is recruited to work in the palace by the king’s retainer, both of them are suddenly forced into divisions.
Piao returned to Xin, half dead, after a violent coup d’etat, with a mission that would take him to the Chinese young king Ying Zheng, who bears a striking similarity to Piao.
