More About Summertime Render
Japanese manga series Summer Time Rendering was written and illustrated by Yasuki Tanaka. From October 2017 to February 2021, Shueisha’s digital magazine Shnen Jump+ ran a serialization of the story. In April 2022, OLM will release an anime television series adaptation of the manga. There are also plans for a real-life escape game and a movie based on the book.
While he was living with the Kofune sisters Mio and Ushio after his parents died, he has since moved to Tokyo and is now living on his own. Even though he was on his way to save Shiori Kobayakawa, Ushio was tragically lost at sea. However, injuries around Ushio’s neck call her cause of death into question.
When Shinpei takes a step back, he realizes that there must be another explanation for this. To make matters worse, a spirit of departed Ushio appears to implore him to do one last favor for the islanders: save Mio. He’s convinced that Ushio’s death is merely one piece of a much larger jigsaw.
Shinpei, with the support of Mio and others, is trying to construct a future where he, his friends, and his family can all survive. As he digs deeper, he realizes that such a scenario is increasingly improbable. His home island is engulfed in a slumbering abyss. How much more pain will he have to endure until he discovers the correct way to preserve it?
