La Presa premiered on August 5, 2022. At the moment, the renewal of The Dam 2 on Disney Plus. However, Dan Trachtenberg already has plans to The Dam 2. With The Prey being the seventh film in the Predator franchise, we’re hoping there will be more, especially given the positive response from critics and audiences to the prequel.
The filmmaker has said that the most daring and exciting ideas are the ones that most tempt him for a motion picture. The Dam 2, but that will be decided by Hulu and Disney Plus, although given the early reviews and the film’s growing popularity, we’re very optimistic. WHAT CAN WE EXPECT FROM THE SEQUEL OF LA PRESA?
The prey it is largely a stand-alone story and there is no post-credits scene. However, at the end of the animated credits that tell the story of the film, Naru and her camp are seen staring at an approaching Predator ship.
This could be a novel way to end the first part of the credits, or a sign that another Predator is on the way in the sequel to The Prey. After all, if Naru has proven herself a worthy opponent, other Predators will want to take advantage of her opportunities.
The other remarkable aspect of the end of La Presa that could be transferred to The Dam 2 is that Naru comes into possession of a flintlock pistol, a pistol we’ve already seen in Predator 2 when Greyback hands it over to Mike Harrigan at the end of the movie. To see the full history of the weapon, it’s here.
This raises the question of how the aliens got it back from the Comanche tribe, presumably suggesting that more Predators are coming back to confront them following the death of one of their own in The Dam 2.
