More About Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon 2
Following Inuyasha: The Final Act, Towa, a four-year-old daughter of Sesshomaru and Rin, finds herself alone in the modern era after being separated from her twin sister Setsuna. Towa ends up being adopted by her paternal half-aunt Kagome Higurashi’s family and raised by Sota’s younger brother and his kindhearted wife Moe. Setsuna’s “substitute” Towa develops a bond with her younger adopted sister, six-year-old Mei.
Towa and Setsuna are reunited ten years later, when the twins are fourteen, when the legendary Sacred Tree of Ages’ great time-traveling power brings them to the current day. During their time apart, Setsuna transformed into a tough and tenacious demon-slayer fighting for Kohaku, and she has lost all recollection of her past due to the mythical Dream Butterfly having taken both her memories and her dreams. Half-demon twins set out to redeem their family’s honor, and they are joined by Moroha, a fourteen-year-old fiercely independent daughter of Kagome and Inuyasha, who has no idea who her parents are.
When the Sacred Tree of Ages awakens after decades of sleep, it warns them of a long-term rival of their paternal dog-demon grandpa who plans to warp time itself because Sesshomaru refuses to confront him personally in place of his deceased father. When it comes to time-based entities, none are as powerful as the Sacred Jewel of Four Souls, which keeps Rin, now an adolescent, in suspended animation awaiting her husband Sesshomaru because of their deadly connection to Zero, Kirinmaru’s elder sister and the creator of seven mythical Rainbow Pearls.
In May of 2020, the show was originally announced. It broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV from October 3, 2020, until March 20, 2021.
